Singing in the Spring Rain

Our brand new SU! Watercolor Pencils and a Watercolor Brush are the tools we used for our choice of watercolor technique in this sweet little framed piece.  Because we knew that Shimmery White is a good paper choice for watercolor techniques, we wanted to give our stampers a chance to try it.  Little did we know that in the right light it would make our scene look a bit like it is shrouded in a light mist.

 Beautiful Mediterranean Watercolor Card

The image of our girl just walking in the rain is from Beautiful You and was stamped on a 3" x 4 1/4" piece of Shimmery White Card Stock.  We made a mask to cover her up and stamped the street scene from Mediterranean Moments over the top.  Remove the mask and voila!  Our pretty girl is strolling right down the street.  The rest is easy.  We chose colors from our new set of Watercolor Pencils, and experimented with our Watercolor Brush.  We always encourage our stampers to make their cards their own and this card is the perfect project to give them free reign!  A theme of "as desired" encourages a delightful array of artistic outcomes.  Our frame is of Basic Black Card Stock with a narrow border layered on Falling In Love Designer Series Paper, then adhered to the card front of Sahara Sand.  Wow!  This could make us anxious for those April showers.

All papers, inks, and accessories used in this card are from ©Stampin’ Up!
