February: Warming up the Winter

This month we are featuring three easy but rather glamorous cards using all manner of new products and some old standbys.  What a great opportunity to try out more of the goodies from the Stampin’ Up!©

2013 Spring Catalog and the Sale.a.Bration© promotion made for great fun on Fat Tuesday.  Beads and all . . . Mardi Gras had nothing on our celebration and Tuesday fun.

Check out the nifty door prizes for our "on time" club members!

A Curvy and Curly Creation

The Petite Curly Label Punch and some curves created with the Simply Scored Borders Scoring Plate had stampers wiggling their way to the cute and curvy card.

Simple Petite and Curly Card

Stampin’ Up! © gave us the Sale.a.bration Petite Curly Label Punch and we gave it a workout.  Nine little punches from a variety of Sycamore Street Designer Series Paper and coordinating cardstock scraps arranged on Whisper White Card Stock over an Island Indigo card front had our stampers busy!  The card front started with the blank slate and began to take shape when we scored a curvy little accent on the left side created with the Borders Scoring Plate and the Simply Scored Tool and Stylus.  Be careful stampers!!!  There's that "deboss" and "emboss" issue to contend with.  That last teeny curly label stamped with Island Indigo Ink on Whisper White Card Stock is shown here with a Sale.a.bration featured stamp.  Our stampers used the Ciao, Baby Stamp Set from the 2013 Spring Catalog. Go here to have a peek!  We finished off the card with one of the coordinating ribbons and buttons from the Sale.a.bration Sycamore Street Ribbon & Button Pack and a little bit of white Baker's Twine. All papers, inks, and accessories used in this card are from Stampin’ Up! ©

An Optical Illusion!

Surprise was the word of the day when we took 1 1/4" squares and turned them into this neat and pretty little pinwheel.  A little brad and some scallops were just the thing to enhance this simple creation.

Pretty Pinwheel Card

This quick and easy card couldn't be easier!  Very Vanilla and Daffodil Delight Card Stocks frame the fanciful pinwheel at the center of this card.  Summer Smootches Designer Series Paper 1 1/4" squares are arranged over the Daffodil Delight Card Stock 2 5/8" square pieces.  The reminder not to adhere one side of the first patterned square came in handy as our card makers taped their way around the pinwheel.  The Scallop Edge Punch made for an interesting "Smootches" bottom border, and a 1 1/4" Scallop Circle in Island Indigo and a 3/4" Circle Punch circle of Smootches puts the finishing touch on our card.  Adding a message with Teeny Tiny Wishes on the Word Window Punch made everyone smile.  All papers, inks, and accessories used in this card are from Stampin’ Up! ©

The "Core" Has It!

The new Stampin’ Up!© Primrose Petals Core'dinations Card Stock got a chance to show us what she's made of in the creation of this pretty card with a special "cut above."

Core'dinations Card

Thanks to our friends on Pinterest for some nifty ideas which we combined into this lovely card!  Stampers in our club tried out the Secret Garden Bundle and the fabulous Bring on the Cake stamp set.  Primrose Petals and Gumball Green are the ink colors of choice.  The Primrose Petals Core'dinations Card Stock, when dry embossed with the new and really wonderful Honeycomb Embossing Folder and sanded ever so lightly, shows her inner beauty.  A little stamping and some framelit cutouts with a little help from Whisper White CS and a bit of Whisper White Stitiched Grosgrain Ribbon turns these already beautiful elements into a very special card.  We topped it off with a "bite" out of the card front using our 1 1/4" Circle Punch.  Don't forget to accent the flower centers with a little bit of Summer Starfruit Stamp n Write Marker.  All papers, inks, and accessories used in this card are from Stampin’ Up! ©
