Fantastic February Finds

         

      Another Sale-a-Bration™ month and we are busy making it work for us!  February may be short, but there is no shortage of the amazing creations possible with the fabulous freebies from ©Stampin' Up!

     Each of our three beautiful card creations for this month feature one or more great products from Sale-a-Bration™ sure to please our Second Thursday Stampers and Friends.  We are lifted up with Lift Me Up, fashionably friendly with Avant Garden, and some Delicate Details, and head on down to the farm to find some sweet chicks with Hey Chick.

Up! Up! and Away!

©Stampin’ Up! Occasions Catalog have us humming that great old 60's tune and we are guessing we are not the only stampers smitten with this beautiful set.  Add a pretty set of Designer Papers from the current ™Sale-a-Bration Catalog and we are flying high!

 

Uplifting Thanks Card

We chose Night of Navy Card Stock as our card base along with our cutout balloon.  We used scraps of Mint Macaron and Peekaboo Peach to enhance our version of the "Beautiful Balloon".  The ™Sale-a-Bration Carried Away Designer Series Paper provides the backdrop for some fluffy Whisper White Card Stock cutout clouds and our balloon.  So easy and truly uplifting.

A Delicate Avante-Garden

Two fabulous Sale-a-Bration™ stamp sets are featured in one gorgeous card.  A little bit of fussy cut but only "if desired" gives a nice touch on a faux lace border.  The Delicate Details with its set of borders is another one of those "should we, or shouldn't we" sets.  Well, we are certainly glad we did!  It makes a showy little splash with only a little effort.  Our great big and beautiful message comes from Avant Garden, as do the Rich Razzleberry floral accents.

Delicate Avant Garden Friend Card

 The card base of Sweet Sugarplum Card Stock is stamped with some Sweet Sugarplum leaves from Avant Garden.  Our Very Vanilla Card Stock is stamped with a border of Mint Macaron Ink on both the top and bottom, and a little paper snips action makes it look like delicate lace!  Another stamped layer of Vanilla over some Sweet Sugarplum gives a dramatic finish to a beautifully simple card.  We always like to give our Second Thursday Stampers a little bit of creative freedom, so we are giving them a blank slate on the inside layer and letting them go for it!

Creatively Cute Cluckers

 Our Hey Chick chickens are proof that chicken's can be creatively cute.  Who can resist these whimsical girls peeking around corners at the lucky recipient of this fun little card.

Hey Chick SAB Card

We decided to try a brand new product, the Hexagons Dynamic Textured Impressions Folder from our current Occasions Catalog as a backdrop for our cute little cluster of cluckers.  We used a brayer and some Basic Gray Ink to make a little bit of chicken wire.  Perfect!  Mint Macaron squares set off the three, which we stamped in Basic Gray Ink on Whisper White Card Stock squares.  Our message is stamped on Mint Macaron scrap and punched with our Duet Banner Punch.  Our little dolls don't like plain, so we gave them some little beauty parlor style with our Mint Macaron and Flirty Flamingo Watercolor Markers.  Don't forget the Pumpkin Pie beak--these chicks have plenty to say!!!
