Frigid February Fun

Our Winter Wisconsin weather hasn't warmed up much, but with Valentine's Day upon us and Spring not too far away, we are feeling warm all over with this heart full of card creations!

We made great use of some exciting products from the new Stampin' Up!© Sale-A-Bration promotion.  This collection is really putting a little LOVE in our hearts!

All papers, inks, and accessories used in our creations are from Stampin’ Up! ©

Fabulous and Frosty Smiles Abound

With Frosty The Snowman thumpety thump thumping in our heads our Second Tuesday Stampers are building some really "COOL" snow peeps.  This little guy just makes us smile all over!!  We chose the "smile" message from Fabulous Phrases for a perfect finish to one of our favorites.

Sassy Snowman Card

Our sweet little guy starts with a flaky background embossed with our Northern Flurry Embossing Folder in cool blue Marina Mist Card Stock.  An all over sponging with Illuminate Pigment Ink gives the background a glimmery shimmer to set off the giant flakes.  A piece of Winter White Card Stock is embossed with the Decorative Dots Embossing Folder from Sale-A-Bration© and torn on the edge to make a snow drift (as if we don't have enough of the real ones around here!)  Our stampers will commence to building their version with Whisper White Card Stock circles cut with the Circles Collection Framelits and sponged with Marina Mist Ink.  There will be just enough time to finish off our creation with a Pumpkin Pie nose, Chocolate Chip Bird Builder Punch arms, and a big grin before the next wind chill warning comes our way!

Sweet Valentine Treats

A really big THANKS right out in front to our friend and stamping mentor "Frenchie" for directions on how to make a quick and easy treat box.  Any holiday works where there is chocolate involved!  Check out the delightful  Frenchie's Video that makes this project as easy as popping a Rolo™ in your mouth!

Be Mine Goodie Box

We're sure our Stampers will be delighted that we are teaching AND treating with this project.  Our long and lean slide out goodie box is made with Real Red Card Stock and a pretty piece of Fresh Prints DSP Stack paper for the sleeve. We are adorning this lovely with some Silver Foil Paper, a little scalloped Real Red Card Stock, and a message from Mixed Medley (retired but not forgotten!)  Our 7/8", and 1  1/4" Scallop Circle Punches play nicely with the 3/4" Circle.   A little bit of ribbon with a fancy snipped tail and we are good to go.  Of course our favorite part is filling the box with five foil wrapped Rolo's™ for a sweet little Valentine Treat.  It's easier than "roloing" out of bed.  All papers, inks, and accessories used in this card are from Stampin’ Up! ©

Holding Out Hope for Spring

Gardner's are hopeful types and so are creative card makers!  That's why our hint of Spring in the Sweet Sorbet  floral DSP parading across this card and the Stampin' Up© Sale-A-Bration Petal Parade Stamp Set gets some good press this cold and frosty month.

Sweet Sorbet Petals and Pennants Card

Starting with two designs from Sweet Sorbet DSP (Sale-A-Bration at its best) we stamped, cut, and layered and ended with an In Color Boutique Detail adorning the Petal Parade floral.  Our color cue came from the DSP.  Who would have thought that Sahara Sand, Summer Starfruit, and Crisp Canteloupe would live so agreeably with Pistaccio Pudding?  The banners, which are the focal point of this really pleasing card, are easily and precisely cut with the Banners Framelits, layered and wrapped up with Gold Baker's Twine, then popped up with Dimensionals.  We can almost smell the roses!  All papers, inks, and accessories used in this card are from Stampin’ Up! ©
