Marvelous March

No more snow birding!  We're back to business with our Second Thursday Stampers--and what a hearty bunch they are!  Wisconsin March is a thing to behold--and so are our beautiful projects for this month.

The last of our Sale-A-Bration  months is here and we are making the best of it.  Our Lots of Lavender SAB Stamp Set conjures up the scents of summer.  Our card makes a splash with the SAB Celebrate You Thinlits and a popped up picture framed with a Stitched Framelits circle.  All this beauty is backed by a Crumb Cake Card Stock piece embossed with our Petal Burst Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.  If that isn't enough then a little splash from our White Jelly Roll Pen and some pearls will snaz things up.  Set on a frame of Whisper White and Sweet Sugar Plum Card Stock this beauty is truly amazing!

Everyone needs A Good Day once in awhile, and if you have this stamp set in your collection then you can have one whenever you need it!  We used a medallion cut from one of our Eastern Medallion Thinlits in Daffodil Delight to create the focal point for our card.  The tiny bird and tiny tree from A Good Day is stamped Whisper White Card Stock.  We did a tiny bit of coloring with Water Color Markers, and some punching with our new 1 1/8" and 1 3/8" Scallop Circle Punches.  Some Pear Pizzazz leaves punched from the retired Bird Builder Punch help jazz things up and our "Good Day!" greeting is punched with the Classic Label PunchWhisper White and Daffodil Delight Card Stock with a little help from our Petal Pair Textured Impressions Embossing Folder provides a nice card base.  Wrap a little  Basic Black 1/4" Grosgrain Ribbon around and there you are!  A good card for a Good Day!

My, oh my!  The eclipse card craze was born out of all the hoopla over our 2017 Total Eclipse of the Sun
What a beauty in Tranquil Tide with Wood Words florals stamped on Whisper White Card Stock.  A few cuts with the Large Letters Framelits popped in and up with Foam Adhesive Strips and you have a winner.  We couldn't stop!  We added some Pearls.  Wow!  Just Wow!

Our sincere thanks and creative idea credit to our Pinterest friends, Kim Oliver at KO Creations Cards  (A Good Day), Dawn Griffith at Dawn's Stamping Thoughts (Lots of Lavender) , and Janine Rawlins at Stamp With Janine (Large Letters Eclipse).

Fantabulous February

Welcome to the frozen tundra that is our great State of Wisconsin!  It seems the snow just keeps coming.  Take heart though.  Our Second Thursday Stampers are a hearty crew and the driveway is plowed.  Between the shoveling and shivering we managed to come up with three beautiful cards to warm the hearts of our stamping friends.

Tutti Frutti Pear Card
We are making good use of our square Stitched Framelits to showcase a pair of pears from the 2018 SU! Occasions Catalog offering aptly named Fruit Basket.  The coordinating Tutti Frutti DSP Stack, some Lemon Lime Twist Woven Ribbon and Adhesive Backed Sequins makes an impressive card in a jiff!

Heartfelt with Petals

Sale-a-Bration™  is one of our favorite times of the year.  Heartfelt Blooms is a perfect example of why!  It's a beautiful stamp and paired with the new Petal Pair Textured Impressions Embossing Folder makes a beautiful card in just about any color combination.  We chose Fresh Fig and Pink Pirouette and we love it!

Happy Wishes Funky Fold
Our February make and take is a winner in black and white.  We made a "Z-Fold" and turned it on its side.  Makes for a nice easel style card!  Petal Passion DSP makes an impressive base for our Happy Wishes Sale-A-Bration Stamp Set image.  We colored with assorted Watercolor Markers but think it could be a star even without.

This month's inspiration comes from Brian King at Stamp With Brian (Heartfelt), and Fionna Whitton from Oakfield Crafts in Wokingham, GB (Tutti Frutti).  Thank you friends!  Papers, inks, and accessories used in our cards are from Stampin’ Up! ©

January Gems

We begin the New Year with a new Second Thursday Stampers format.  With growing demands of 2018 in our family and personal lives, going forward individual posts for each of our monthly Stampin' projects will end.  There will continue to be posts of photos of our monthly projects with brief descriptions for our members and friends to peruse.  Happy 2018 Stamping!

On The Waterfront Card

Picture Perfect Picture Card

This card is a great example of the beautiful watercolored landscapes which can be created with the versatile Waterfront Stamp Set.  We used Old Olive, Soft Sky, Dapper Denim, Crushed Curry, Sahara Sand, and Lemon Lime Twist Inks for our lake and mountain scene.  An easy card from a stamp set with endless possibilities!

Our January picture card is so easy and very impressive.  The secret is the wonderful new Picture Perfect Party DSP from our new 2018 SU! Occasions Catalog.  We chose Lemon Lime Twist, Berry Burst, and Fresh Fig from our color pallete.  Great combos to accent the Designer Papers.  A few Glitter Enamel Dots make things interesting.  A quick fix for those last minute card needs.

Painted Sweet & Sassy Card

Our "make & take" for the month is a fun little 4 1/4" square card showcasing our brand new Painted With Love DSP  We punched 1 1/4" circles and arranged them popped up with Dimensionals.  Our Gold Foil Heart shape is actually popped up on the inside of the card with a double layer of Dimensionals and slips through a heart shape cut with Sweet & Sassy Framelit Dies.  Decorate at will!

Our thanks to our Pinterest Friends, Mary Fish at Stampin' Pretty (On The Waterfront), and Lisa Kmiec, SU Demonstrator (Picture Perfect) for inspiration and beautiful ideas.  Papers, inks, and accessories used in our projects are from Stampin’ Up! ©
