The New Year-New Gear

Wow!  We can't decide where to start.  New paper, new stamp sets, new framelits, and a little Wink (of Stella.)  Our Second Thursday Stampers are back at it and we're thankful we have another twelve months to create amazing things with such wonderful stuff to do it with!

Here's just a tip of the iceberg with some Party Wishes, a bunch of Botanical Blooms, and a Flowering Field Sale-A-Brationstyle!  Here we go . . . stamping into 2016!

Most papers, inks, and accessories used in our projects are from ©Stampin’ Up!

Ready to Party with Stella?

We think that birthday wishes are best expressed with some "fun folding."  Our first birthday card of the year shows just how exciting that can be!  We teamed up our brand new ©Stampin’ Up! "Occasions" Party Wishes Stamp Set and some pretty background paper from the new It's My Party Designer Series Paper Stack.  The result is better than a party popper!

We didn't stop with that . . .although we could have still turned some heads.  Instead we layered and folded and punched and glittered our cupcakes up with our Wink of Stella Glitter Brush.  By the way, there was no "fussy cutting" on those cupcakes.  There's a punch pack for that.  Be still my heart!

Birthday Party Card

Our fold is actually more like a flap stuck on with a bit of glue.  The base of our front panel starts with Basic Black Card Stock which we cut to 2 1/2" x 5 3/4" lobbed off at the bottom with our Scallop Edge Punch.  A 1/4" score and fold at the top is tucked under to form the flap.  We used Sahara Sand Card Stock to set things off and two designs from our It's My Party Designer Series Paper Stack.

Inside and under the flap some birthday wishing is encouraged.  We even added some candles in Mint Macaroon to aid in the merry making.  Check out the ©Stampin’ Up! Occasion's Catalog for all of the possibilities!

Botany--Our Favorite Subject

Our brand spanking new ©Stampin' Up Occasions Catalog has us grinning bigger than the Wisconsin snow banks.  Our newest "can't do without it" combo is the beautiful Botanical Blooms Stamp Set and Botanical Garden's Designer Series Paper, both teamed up with the Botanical Builder Framelits Dies.  Here's our first edition!  We are sure there is more to come.

Good Thoughts on Botanical Blooms Card

We used the brand new and unique vine framelit to create the beautiful cutout edge over a base of Mossy Meadow Card Stock.  As if that wasn't enough, the leaves and flowers cut from the same set showcases the versatility of the Botanical Builder Framelits Dies.  A bit of sponging with Cajun Craze Ink on the Hello Honey three piece bloom makes this card rock!  Our message from Perfect Pennants and stamped with Hello Honey Ink seems appropriate for the 2016 New Year which we know will be full of creations and friendship.  This beauty is deceptively simple and exceptionally impressive!  You know you can never have too many flowers.

Can You Say ™Sale-A-Bration?

With all of the beautiful new ©Stampin’ Up! "Occasions Catalog" choices, and so many old stand by's that we love so much, earning our Sale-A-Bration premium was really not hard at all!  Our Second Thursday Stampers are getting a peek of a small handful of the many choices they can get free with the purchase of their January stash.  This season's Sale-A-Bration sure knows how to play nice with the brand new "Occasions" stamps, papers, and accessories.  Woo Hoo!

Flowering Fields Sale-A-Bration Card

Sweet and simple.  It is the best description of this versatile card.  Use the tag to hang on a gift, soup things up on the front of a gift bag, or present a fun little card with a box of goodies for a friend.  There are so many ways to say "enjoy" with our newest acquisitions.  We said it with one of the dies from our Mini Treat Bag Thinlits.  The three designs of our background and banners come from Wildflower Fields Designer Series Paper.  Pretty, don't you think?  Don't forget to use the Banner Triple Punch to make perfect tails every time.  ;-)

Our artistic selves did a little bit of watercolor marker directly on the stamps with a "huffing" technique to make our wild flower scene.  We could have opted to do some water coloring too, but we decided to save that for later.  What do you think of our little layering trick with some Old Olive Card Stock underneath our "arty" little focal point, topped off with the Ornate Tag Topper Punch accented with Old Olive Baker's Twine?  We just didn't think it was complete without it!

Easy as can be!  What will be hard is picking which free Sale-A-Bration goodies to get.
