The Joys of January

January Second Tuesday Stampers are brrrrrraving the cold, wind, ice and snow to try a hand at some beautiful Stamp Club cards. The Envelope Punch Board gets a workout again in the creation of a file folder style card.  We are practicing our artistic talents with another try at a water colored beauty, and with Valentines Day just around the corner we just have to include a fun little Valentine greeting.

With a brand new Occasions Catalog from Stampin’ Up!©, our excitement is over the moon this month!  We are trying out some brand new stamps, a couple of never before seen punches, and the pretty Water Color Wonder Designer Series Paper, along with some of our favorite go to framelits.  Wow!  This group of projects definitely has the potential to fire up the creative juices and get us through the winter!!!  All papers, inks, and accessories used in our creations are from Stampin’ Up! ©

All You Need is Love

Valentine time already!!!!  Amazing how time flies when you are having fun.  We worked hard to get this one just perfect.  With a little help from some punches and framelits, a button and some pearls, along with creative color combos we managed to make a Valentine card our stampers will be proud to give.

Loving Hearts and Banner Card

Check out the detail on the Language of Love stamp which fits like a glove with the Full Heart Punch.  Even more exciting is how the whole thing goes together with the Hearts a Flutter stamps and framelits.

The Strawberry Slush and Coastal Cabana Card Stocks and Inks look so pretty together we decided to make a double frame to enhance the harmony created by this lovely card.  Tiny Strawberry Slush stamped hearts from Language of Love are popped up just like the bigger hearts to give glorious dimension to this card.  Don't forget the dainty little pearls that appear to hold up the banner on this very delicious Valentine!  All papers, inks, and accessories used in this card are from Stampin’ Up! ©

Happy Happy Happy

A fun summer pool party is just what our stampers need . . . but we will have to settle for Pool Party Card Stock and Ink.  This impressive card is deceptively simple and gives our creative group members bragging rights when they say "I did this beautiful watercolor myself!"  Now that's happy!

Happy Watercolor Card

This card showcases the Happy Watercolor Stamp Set.  We showcase the fashionable message with Gold Embossing and stack up our Pool Party Card Stock card base with another layer of the same . . . dry embossed with a sideways version of the Scallops Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.  Three times stamping with the background stamp from this really nice stamp set (which we can easily predict as a future favorite) makes the watercolor look for the background.  We stamped the flower once on the Whisper White Card Stock with Black Stazon and twice on Calypso Coral Card Stock.  A little snip here and there to cut out our beauty of a bloom and there you have it!  If the Calypso Coral layered flower doesn't make enough of a POP, then a little help from some Dimensionals will do the trick.  All papers, inks, and accessories used in this card are from Stampin’ Up! ©

File Folder Fun

We love trying new folds and techniques and this file folder style card is no exception.  The card style is so versatile that almost any shape and size is possible (as long as it fits on the Envelope Punch Board).  Ours is a nifty birthday greeting, but the occasions to be celebrated with this card  are endless!  A tag on the front of this one let us experiment with the new Scallop Tag Topper Punch, but why not try a pocket for a gift card inside or out?  Go crazy!  For some help to get this going and other versions of this fun card try Patty Bennett's really great website complete with a tutorial video at pattystamps.typepad.com.

File Folder Tag & Banners Card

A little Gumball Green Card Stock and Ink along with a little trip to the tropics with Island Indigo Ink keeps us happy and feeling toasty in the throes of Wisconsin's polar vortex!   We used two different Water Color Wonder Designer Series Paper designs, one in and one out.  Punches saved the day for an easy mix of shapes including a brand new Scallop Tag Topper and Petite Petals, the Artisan Label, and the humble standby Word Window.  The old and the new stamp sets, Label Love, Petite Petals, Itty Bitty Banners, and Banner Greetings live harmoniously on our version of the file folder style card.  All papers, inks, and accessories used in this card are from Stampin’ Up! ©
