Christmas in November

πŸŽ„πŸŽ„πŸŽ„πŸŒŸπŸŒŸπŸŒŸπŸŽ„πŸŽ„πŸŽ„πŸŒŸπŸŒŸπŸŒŸπŸŽ„πŸŽ„πŸŽ„

Our Second Thursday Stampers are getting an early Christmas this month.  All three of our projects celebrate the holiday and every card will be a make and take ready to send.  We are proud to share the love with . . .
                            🌟
                        a tree
                    and a tag
          with red and green
   some big fluffy snowflakes
  and pretty paper and ribbons
             and a little bit
                  of bling

We have all that and more in our easy Christmas cards this month.  Our 2017 Stampin' Up! Holiday Catalog packed to the brim with beautiful stamps and accessories, made our beautiful projects easy.

Most papers, inks, and accessories used in our projects are from ©Stampin’ Up!

A Tree for Christmas

The Season Like Christmas stamp set made this easy multi-step stamped tree a piece of cake to create!  Thank you so much to blogger Happy Stampin' - Janneke de Jong.  We needed some translation, but we loved your idea and managed to make our version of your lovely card.  The Heavy White Card Stock is the perfect card base and Dimensionals make our card front detail stand out.

A Season Like Christmas Card

Our card base is Basic Black Card Stock with Delightful Daisy DSP on top.  The tree is stamped in four steps with Sahara Sand, Pear Pizzazz, Old Olive, and Real Red Ink.  The inside and outside messages coordinate nicely and are stamped with Basic Black Ink.  Some of our new Jute Twine and a few Metallic Enamel Shapes finish things nicely.  What an easy way to send some Christmas Love to your besties!

All papers, inks, and accessories used in this card are from ©Stampin’ Up!

An Ice Blue Flurry of Flakes

No one looks forward to a snowstorm in November, but our little flurry of flakes might just be an exception to that rule.  There is a bit of a bonus when the recipient of this lovely greeting opens it to reveal a pocket filled with a gift card or maybe a little cash.

A Flurry of Flakes Card

Our card base of Heavy White Card Stock is 11" x 4 1/4" and scored at 2" and 5 1/2".  It is folded and taped to create a pocket and stamped with little Soft Sky snowflakes from Tags and Trimmings.  The greeting and snowflakes are from Flurry of Wishes and punched with the Flower Medallion and Snow Flurry Punches.  The brand new Soft Sky Classic Weave Ribbon wrapped around a panel of Soft Sky Card Stock.  Our 2 1/2" and 1 1/4" Circle Punches teamed up with some Island Indigo Card Stock for some accents that make our snow flakes stand out.  Rhinestones glisten on the freshly fallen flakes and make this card a beautiful gift for someone special.

Directions for this gift card style card can be found at http://www.serenestamper.com/2017/03/cool-treats-gift-card-holder.html  Many thanks for the idea.

Label This Wish

A Very Merry Christmas wish couldn't be easier than our sweet little card with Labels to Love as its centerpiece.  Traditional red and green are perfectly portrayed with Cherry Cobbler and Garden Green.

A Cherry Cobbler Christmas Card

We started with a card base of Heavy Vanilla Card Stock and built this beauty with layers of Garden Green and Cherry Cobbler Card Stock topped off with a piece of a retired holiday Designer Series Paper.  The central focus is our tag stamped with a message from Labels to Love in one of our favorite reds . . . Cherry Cobbler of course!  We punched the label with our Everyday Label Punch and backed it up with another label punched from Cherry Cobbler Card StockDimensionals make our label pop and some Pearls add a perfect shine.

We are happy to give credit where credit is due.  This excellent design and many others can be found at http://www.suestampfield.com/blog/2017/10/the-perfect-christmas-card-simple-but-striking.html

A Sparkly, Blingy, Shiny October

We took the warm tones of Fall colors and jazzed them up for our Second Thursday Stampers this month.   We're even adding a little Christmas shine because December will be here in the blink of an eye!  ©Stampin’ Up! never fails us with beautiful new stamps and accessories when the new Occasions Catalog comes to our door!

Bounty in a Basket

The Basket of Wishes set makes saying thanks, giving thanks, and every other thanks just plain perfect.  This stamp set is bountiful with harvest bounty for your basket.  The Painted Harvest Designer Series Paper provides a beautiful accent to the watercolor marker art in our basket.  Another piece of perfect is the new ©Stampin’ Up! Jute Twine that we chose to tie around the top.  We borrowed this wonderful idea from Rosanne at Heartfelt Stamping

A Basket Full of Thanks Card

This card, one of our easiest masterpieces, is framed with a base of Heavy Vanilla and Very Vanilla Card Stock.  A few splotches from Timeless Textures stamped and stamped off in Crumb Cake Ink gives a little visual texture to set off the Soft Suede stamped basket.  Our message is from the Basket of Wishes set and stamped in Soft Suede Ink as well.  The gourds and pumpkins are colored with a variety of Water Color Markers--any combo will do!  We chose Pear Pizzazz, Daffodil Delight, Peekaboo Peach, Pink Pirouette, Lemon Lime Twist, and Pumpkin Pie.  It's amazing what some blending of colors will do.  Our top fold design allows a little rounding on the corners (we used our Envelope Punch Board) for interest.  A strip of Chocolate Chip Card Stock is the perfect backdrop for our choice of Designer Series Paper.  Everyone's card is a little different when our stamping artists get to work on this one!  What's not to love?  Thank you!

A Foiled Fall Flurry

We thought we had this one nailed, but getting just the right look for Autumn's amazing color show was something of a challenge.  Making up our minds about the best technique for the foliage was the biggest dilema.  Success!  We picked the Rock n' Roll Technique to stamp our leaves--Crushed Curry with Cajun Craze and Crushed Curry with Pear Pizzazz--on a piece of Very Vanilla Card Stock.  Leaves need trees, so we made a forest with our Woodland Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.  What follows is more pizzazz with the help of some Gold Foil and Seasonal Layers Thinlits.

A Rockin' and Rollin' Thanksgiving Card

Cajun Craze Card Stock teams with Crushed Curry Cardstock for our base adding emphasis to the hues in our falling leaves.  The drama added by the cut out Gold Foil Leaves is the perfect topping! We used our Banner Triple Punch to make the tailed message tag and dressed it up with a little leftover Gold Foil.  Thank you Dimensionals for a pop!  The message is stamped in Cajun Craze and is from our Painted Harvest Stamp Set.  Our thanks for a great idea from SU! Demonstrator Susan Campfield.  What a seasonal beauty!

Fantastic Flakes in Foil

We are making good on our promise to create one beautiful Christmas make and take for the months of September, October, and November.  This lovely card will not disappoint!  There isn't a lot of stamping on this one.  The beautiful Year of Cheer Specialty Designer Paper, the Year of Cheer Embellishments, and some Silver Foil Snowflakes suffice to make this card one sure to please.  There are all manner of combinations for the DSP, Foil Snowflakes, and Embellishments at our favorite resource--Pinterest.   These ideas from Rhonda Wade at Creating Success had us hooked.

A Foil Flurry of Wishes Card

Our card is layered with Whisper White on Whisper White Card Stock.  The Specialty Designer Series Paper sports both gold and silver snowflakes, and there is also a choice of gold or silver Foil Snowflakes, so we decided to give our stampers a choice.  The snowflake in the center of the big foil flake is punched from the DSP.  Our 1 3/8" Circle Punch came in handy to punch that out and we punched a little bit larger foil background for the flake.  The messages (both inside and out) are from Flurry of Wishes and are stamped in Smoky Slate Ink.  One Rhinestone, Silver or Gold Thread, and an Embellishment finish things off for some Christmas sparkle.  Easy peasy pretty!

September Sunflowers, Pumpkins, and a Preview

πŸ‚πŸ‚πŸ‚Who doesn't love September?  It's the month that brings us falling leaves, warm hues, and the anticipation of wonderful holidays to come.  It seems the perfect time for our Second Thursday Stampers to get a delicious taste of SU! things to come.

🌻 πŸ‚ πŸŽƒ πŸŽ„

We start with a lovely little September sunflower card and end with a beautiful Christmas greeting.  We even sandwiched in a little Halloween haunting with four fun jack-o-lanterns!
Our biggest challenge this month was deciding what to do with all of our wonderful ©Stampin’ Up! 2017 Holiday Catalog treasures!  We think our stampers will be pleased.

Most papers, inks, and accessories used in our projects are from ©Stampin’ Up!

A Sunflowery Painted Harvest

Fields of sunflowers seem to magically appear on our Wisconsin landscape in early Fall.  Likewise, the beauty of our Painted Harvest Stamp Set sunflower took us by surprise.  Using a multi-step stamping technique to layer warm fall colors creates our version of the scenic view.

Painted Harvest Sunflower Card

Our card front starts with Crushed Curry Card Stock layered with a strip of Painted Autumn Designer Series Paper over a base of Whisper White.  A bit of background stamping with Cajun Craze Ink makes things interesting.  We secured a piece of the new and very versatile Copper Trim, a must have item, to enhance this creation.  Who needs another circle punch?  We do!  After we stamped with Crushed Curry and Cajun Craze Inks, topped off with a Soft Suede Ink center we punched our flower with the new 2 1/4" Circle Punch.  Perfect!  The leaves tucked behind our sunflower were two-step stamped with Garden Green Ink and punched with our brand new Leaf Punch.  Just to make things interesting, we stamped a Teeny Tiny Wish(es) greeting on Whisper White Card Stock and did some creative punching with the snipable and changeable Classic Label Punch.  Thanks to a handful of Dimensionals, our card turned into a standout!

A Grin and a Frown and Pumpkins on the Ground

Our label from Labels to Love tells a scary story, but there is nothing scary about our cheery little pumpkin family.  Crumb Cake Card Stock, and a Hardwood Stamp background on a Crumb Cake card base is the perfect place to display some Halloween fun.

Pumpkins Four You Card

Three pumpkins were plucked from the field of fall fruit in our new Pick a Pumpkin Stamp Set, then lined up on the bottom of our card.  We used Tangerine Tango Ink to stamp them with Basic Black to show their faces--happy, sad, and sweet.  The Patterned Pumpkins Thinlits from the new SU! 2017 Holiday Cataloghelped add a nice touch with an airy cutout Pumpkin Pie Card Stock pumpkin.  The message label from Labels to Love is stamped with Basic Black Ink and punched out with our Everyday Label Punch.  A little scrap of Tranquil Tide Card Stock makes some pretty tendrils and leaves to fancy our popped up label.  Add some Black Rhinestone bling and, no tricks, the treat is complete!

A Good Time to Think Christmas

It's never too soon to plan ahead for our Christmas Card making.  We always say we will get our cards done with some Christmas in July, but never seem to get around to it!  Maybe it is better to wait until September for the annual SU! Holiday Catalog.  There is always something new and wonderful.  The 2017 edition is no exception!

A Feeling of Christmas Card

Incredibly easy, deceptively simple.  The beauty of the season is contained right in this card!  The card base of Cherry Cobbler Card Stock is embossed with our new Cable Knit 3D Dynamic Textured Embossing Folder which gives a dramatic effect both inside and out.  The card stock layers of Basic Black, Garden Green, and Very Vanilla have the holiday season written all over.  Our Feeling of Christmas Stamp Set provides us with everything we need to stamp our way to that feeling.  A little bit of two-step stamping and with Garden Green and Basic Black Inks and some Real Red Marker accents is finished off is topped off with a handful of Rhinestones.  Merry, merry!

Another Amazing August

Our summer is spinning by!  Are we getting older or is time just flying by extra fast?  It seems we just sat down to make our July creations and here we are with another set of gorgeous cards!  The Daisies are back . . . whoo hoo, and we are stepping things up with another crazy fun fold card featuring the Happy Birthday Thinlits, and to top it off we have another take on our versatile Eastern Beauty Bundle.

Here we go!  Ready or not.

Eastern Beautiful!

The Eastern Beauty Stampset and the Eastern Medallions Thinlits are nothing short of remarkable.  Add some Eastern Palace Specialty Designer Paper and wait for the songs of praise on your beautiful work.  There are so many possibilities for this combo that the hardest part of doing this project was deciding which of the many combinations to use!  We saw no shortage of ideas on Pinterest to try to put together for a finished product.  We like what we came up with.

Beautiful Eastern Beauty Card

We made use of our brand new package of Very Vanilla Thick Card Stock for our base.  Next we notched out a "V" from the top and bottom of our Eastern Palace Specialty Designer Series Paper and stamped some little bits from the Eastern Beauty Stamp Set.  Thanks to our new Fresh Fig Ink and Card Stock our card is a dramatically beautiful beauty!  A little bling never hurts so we brought out our Clear Faceted Gems.  Just about perfect.  There is nothing more we can say except that we wonder what we ever did before these beautiful thinlits and our trusty Big Shot!

One Daisy, One Wood Plank, One Beautiful Card

Ok.  We admit it.  We had to get as close to this amazing creation as we could so we liberally cased it right straight from http://wildwestpaperarts.com/international-gratitude-plank-style/.  (Go there for instructions and a peek at a possible inside treatment.) No need to make too many changes.  This is a standout.  The layering and embossing makes an interesting card and it is much easier than it looks!

 Wood Plank Daisy Card

Deceptively simple for sure.  We stamped and punched a couple of daisies with our wonderful Daisy Delight and Daisy Punch Bundle.  A bit of sponging with Crumb Cake, Crushed Curry, and Old Olive Inks does the trick.  Our message was stamped in Early Espresso and our Tombo Glue is holding our finished daisy in place.  A little bit of roughing up the edges with our Paper Snips added a nice rustic touch.  To tie things together and make this card amazing we used our new Pinewood Planks 3D Dynamic Textured Embossing Folder to emboss the whole thing, then sponged over with Soft Suede Ink.  We added a little shine with some Clear Wink of Stella on the daisy center.  Our woodwork of art is mounted on a piece of Early Espresso Card Stock.  Thanks Rae Harper Burnett in Reno!  Glad you took the International Gratitude Plank Challenge.  We love it.

Happy Birthday

Another bundle to love!  The Happy Birthday Thinlit Die caught our eye and all of the sweet little stamps in the Happy Birthday Gorgeous Stamp Set sealed the deal!  Our fold is a combo of little Z-folds we found while hanging around Pinterest, and we grabbed some Delightful Daisy Designer Series Paper to add our panels for color and design.  (We can't get enough of that combo either!)

Gorgeous Happy Birthday Fancy Fold Card

We took an 11" x 4 1/4" piece of Whisper White Card Stock and scored it at 2 3/4" and 5 1/2".  Then we grabbed an 8 1/2" x 3 1/2" piece of Tranquil Tide with scores at 4 1/4" and 6 3/8".  Putting them together was easy.  The Delightful Daisy Designer Series Paper adorns our card.  New colors, Berry Burst and Tranquil Tide are a good team for this one.  The design is up to the artist!  We stamped and assembled and then topped things off with our Happy Birthday cutout which was backed with Multi-Purpose Adhesive Sheet for easy application.  A special little "celebrate" message is happily hanging around inside a frame punched with the Classic Label Punch and trimmed to fit!

It's no wonder we picked two messages reminding us that LIFE IS A BEAUTIFUL THING!

Sweet Wild Honey Bear

This full card (we treat our Stampers to one "make and take" style project each month) sports a sweet little bear with a very sweet message.  Be careful though.  He can be A Little Wild!  This new stamp set, appropriately named is also full of sweetness.  We want to send a shout out to our Pinterest Friend, Bussakorn Mpelasoka at Wrapinink.wordpress.com for her very creative use of this stamp set.

 Sweet Wild Card

Our fun new A Little Wild Stamp Set and the
coordinating Little Loves Framelits make an easy job of making a very impressive card with only a little effort.  No fussy cutting here!  Our sweet little bear lives in a woodsy Lemon Lime Twist Card Stock environment compliments the Woodland Textured Impressions Folder.  We used our Layering Circles Framelits to cut the circle in the card front and we used our trusty, though retired, 2 1/2" Circle Punch to cut a circle from our Halloween Nights Designer Series Paper (retired and fresh off the Clearance Rack.)  We stamped our little honey bear on Crumb Cake Card Stock with Basic Black Ink, and rather than folding him into a tag we trimmed him so he could peek out from inside.  We partially adhered his backside to his front side leaving a little slit next to his leg to perch him on the window.  Then a little Tombo Glue to make sure he stays put was all we needed to make sure he is a good little bear.  This card is beyond cute and oh so easy!  Perfect!!!!

Just Beachy

The new Colorful Seasons Stamp Set gives us the perfect message to remind everyone that "Life is a Beautiful Thing."  What could be more beautiful on a sunny day in summer than a seaside chair and a glass of ice cold lemonade.  Here it is!  The stamp set we can't live without.  Lots of cutting, tearing, and pasting with a little strategic stamping . . . this mostly cut out card is a piece of paper art!

Colorful Beautiful Life Card

There's no question that the Big Shot is our friend for this one.  The swirly sun is a Daffodil Delight cut from a Swirly Scribbles Thinlit Die.  Our Marina Mist ocean waves sport some swirls compliments of our Seaside Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.  The Calypso Coral beach chairs and Bermuda Bay table (look close for the fancy paper snipping) are cut with Seasonal Layers Thinlits.  All run through our trusty cutting machine with the help of a Precision Cutting Pad.  The Crumb Cake Card Stock beach is stamped with splotches from Swirly Bird, and our most appropriate message is from Colorful Seasons.  Makes you want to sit down and sip on that lemonade!  Beautiful!!

All papers, inks, and accessories used in this card are from ©Stampin’ Up!

Tulips in July

We might be a little bit past tulip season, but that doesn't mean we can't grow some on a card front.  We grabbed our Tranquil Tulips Hostess Set and layered some beautiful things!  Speaking of beautiful, our message definitely is a part of a theme this month!  We didn't plan it that way, but what a happy coincidence.

Tranquil Tulips Card

Our choice of color comes from our new In Color, Berry Burst.  The Color Theory Designer Paper features lots of choices so everyone can have a card that suits their fancy.  The message was borrowed from another new set--Eastern Beauty.  (Just a peek at things to come!)  Taking advantage of the two-step technique made easy with this set, we fashioned a pretty bouquet.  Stampers can add a little dimension by stamping and cutting an extra set of petals on the largest bloom and attaching it with a Dimensional.  A little bit of bling always adds to a combination as beautiful as this one.  Thanks to Erica at Pink Buckaroo Designs for this beautiful design.  Very nice!
