Painted Petals Showcase

The word "diorama" originated in 1823 as a type of picture viewing device. The word literally means "through that which is seen" from the Greek "di" (through) and "orama" (that which is seen, a sight.) Wikipedia.  Our diorama card is definitely a sight to behold!

Painted Petals Diorama Card

The card front features stamps from the Painted Petals Stamp Set with Blackberry Bliss, Daffodil Delight, and Wild Wasabi Inks. The message (both inside and out) is stamped in Basic Grey Ink. The card is made from a 10 1/2" x 5 1/2" piece of Blackberry Bliss Card Stock, scored and folded at 3 1/2", 6 1/2", 7", and 10".  Some sticky tape on the 1/2" edge attaches at the card front to form our version of the diorama.  The 2" Circle Punch provides the perfect window for our message and more Painted Petals.  A little strip of Painted Blooms Designer Series Paper inside is just a tease for what the whole DSP package holds!  A Wild Wasabi Card Stock tag decorated with some White Baker's Twine and a little hint of Daffodil Delight Card Stock adds some interest to this already interesting creation. Thank you to our Splitcoast friend, Julie Davison for an excellent TUTORIAL for our Pop-Up Diorama Card.  The possibilities are endless!

All papers, inks, and accessories used in this card are from ©Stampin’ Up!
