February Blushing Pink

We didn't exactly plan for a "Pink" theme . . . it just sort of turned out that way!  Once we started we couldn't stop!  Pink Pirouette, Blushing Bride, Rose Coral, Melon Mambo, and even some pink underneath all that Blackberry Bliss!  What can it all possibly mean?

Our check in with Google found The Meaning of the Color Pink!
--and you guessed it--
We are just plain

Tickled Pink

Here's to our Second Tuesday Stampers who will surely feel the love!  (A little Elton John always helps!)

The Essence of Love

Who can help being more than enamoured with the Love is Kindness stamp. Teamed it up with Blendabilities and it is sure to give us some tingles!  We chose Pink Pirouette, Melon Mambo, and Wild Wasabi to complement our choice of colors but this versatile little stamp could shine in any variety of Blendabilities hues!

Kindly Loving Blendabilities Card

Creating the lovely blooms was fun and easy.  One little stamp with some Memento Black Ink on Whisper White Card Stock and we were on our way. The new Happy Heart Embossing Folder used on the Pink Pirouette Card Stock helped create an interesting background on Basic Grey Card Stock.  A piece of White Jute Ribbon underneath our floral show piece popped up with Dimensionals was just the touch this card needed.  So simple but truly elegant!

Painted Petals Showcase

The word "diorama" originated in 1823 as a type of picture viewing device. The word literally means "through that which is seen" from the Greek "di" (through) and "orama" (that which is seen, a sight.) Wikipedia.  Our diorama card is definitely a sight to behold!

Painted Petals Diorama Card

The card front features stamps from the Painted Petals Stamp Set with Blackberry Bliss, Daffodil Delight, and Wild Wasabi Inks. The message (both inside and out) is stamped in Basic Grey Ink. The card is made from a 10 1/2" x 5 1/2" piece of Blackberry Bliss Card Stock, scored and folded at 3 1/2", 6 1/2", 7", and 10".  Some sticky tape on the 1/2" edge attaches at the card front to form our version of the diorama.  The 2" Circle Punch provides the perfect window for our message and more Painted Petals.  A little strip of Painted Blooms Designer Series Paper inside is just a tease for what the whole DSP package holds!  A Wild Wasabi Card Stock tag decorated with some White Baker's Twine and a little hint of Daffodil Delight Card Stock adds some interest to this already interesting creation. Thank you to our Splitcoast friend, Julie Davison for an excellent TUTORIAL for our Pop-Up Diorama Card.  The possibilities are endless!

Sidewalk Chalk Move Over

The Bordering Blooms stamp set has been in our closet for awhile. Time to put it to work! Pink and black make a beautiful pair on this pretty friendship card. The sentiment is from A Happy Thing, one of the many beautiful stamp sets in our ©Stampin’ Up! Sale-a-Bration offerings.  Team it up with some Chalkboard Paper and Color Box Chalk Ink, and it all comes together for a super simple and very sweet little card!

Bordering Chalkboard Blooms Card

Blushing Bride Card Stock is the perfect backdrop for our chalkboard card. Though for most cards our adhesive of choice is Tombo™ Mono Adhesive, this time the Multi Glue seemed like the right producct to make sure our card stayed together. We used Rose Coral Color Box Chalk Ink along with some help from White Craft Ink.  They both work well on the Chalkboard Paper.  Be sure the ink is dry before you touch it though.  A couple of pieces of the beautiful Blushing Bride 1/4" Cotton Ribbon gives a fashionably smart look. We wrapped a 6" piece around the card front and tied the short piece around to look like a fancy knot.  Easy!
