Some January Love to Keep Us Warm

Wisconsin in January!  🌨 Brrrrr! but we found an antidote to the blustery, cold, and oh so snowy weather . . . Stamp, Stamp, Stamp!  We are sure our Second Thursday Stampers will be delighted to have some "Love To Keep Us Warm" 💌 .

Each of this month's projects feature the brand new, and very beautiful Falling In Love Designer Series Paper from the January to May, 2017 ©Stampin’Up! Occasions Catalog™, along with some new stamp sets to make us crazy in love!

Watercoloring A Beautiful You!

We are having way too much fun with one of our newest acquisitions--the Beautiful You Stamp Set from the fantastic new SU! 2017 Occasions Catalog.  We chose a really simple card to add a tiny bit of watercolor and a whole lot of style to our project.

Watercolored Beautiful You Card

The base paper for this single layer card front is our best friend, Whisper White Card Stock.  We stamped the image and the message, just two of the the great stamps from this set, with Basic Black Archival Ink.  Our dancer's skirt is a stamped with a watercolor style stamp from the same set in Blushing Bride Ink.  Her blouse and bonnet are water colored with Flirty Flamingo Ink and our Blender Pen.  A 3/4" strip of Falling In Love DSP adhered above and below sets the stage for the perfect Happy Dance! This one warms our heart on some cold winter days.

Here's To A Dreamy Dragonfly Day

Oh my!  The new Dragonfly Dreams Stamp Set with Detailed Dragonfly Thinlits.  Be still my heart!!!  This gorgeous card is a piece of cake to make.  We know our Second Thursday Stampers will be amazed at how easy it is to create this beauty!

Dreamy Dragonfly Card

• First:  Adhere the Falling In Love DSP to the Soft Sky Card Stock.
• Next:  Cut out the flight of dragon flies with the Detailed Dragon Fly Thinlits from the Whisper White Card Stock.
• Then:  Swipe some Clear Wink of Stella on the DSP.
• And Finally:  Adhere the Whisper White to the DSP, and position the dragonflies in place with some Glue Dots.

Could this be easier?  We are so proud!  We added a sweet little message, also from the Dragonfly Dreams set stamped in Pool Party Ink.  Perfect!!!!

Sending Some Yummy Hugs

A cute little Valentine anyone?  This one comes to our stampers compliments our brand new Yummy In My Tummy stamp set and a slice of Falling In Love DSP.  We admit that there is a little fussy cutting going on here, but the result is worth it.  (Remember all the fun we had making paperdoll snibbles?)

 

Yummy Tummy Love Card

Our card stock colors, Rose Red, Very Vanilla, and Blushing Bride really play nice together.  The Blushing Bride is embossed with the Falling Petals Textured Impressions Embossing Folder for a cute background that coordinates beautifully with our choice of the Falling In Love DSP.  The little monster from Yummy In My Tummy is stamped on the DSP in Chocolate Chip Ink and cut out with our Paper Snips.  His pudgy little belly sports "Hugs" from the stamp set and cut out with Layering Circles Framelits.  He is popped up on the embossed background with Dimensionals and holds a Sweetheart Punched heart embellished with a tiny pearl.  We grabbed the "love you lots" message from, you guessed it, the Love You Lots Hostess Stamp Set.  Remember that a tiny bit of sponging (in this case on the heart) goes a really long way.
