No Post November

Our Second Tuesday Stampers were clearly missing a November post!  Who knew????  Thank you for the love!  Here is a sample of our fun holiday themed projects.

Second Tuesday Stampers November Projects

Four Tags

Our four tags made good use of a nice variety of punches.  We used our new Kraft Card Stock and Under the Tree Designer Paper to make this beauty.  Our secret is the Note Tag Punch.  It's a keeper!

Another we can't help but love was fashioned with the new Confetti Stars Punch, some Silver Card Stock , and All is Calm Washi Tape.

Sticking with the quick and easy theme we put together a star tag that looks complicated but was simply made with Many Merry Stars, the Star Framelits, and a little bit of bling.

In a hurry?  Check out this Washi Taped, Endless Wishes tag on Whisper White CS.  We could make a whole bunch of these with the help of the Angled Tag Topper Punch!

A Gift Card Holder

Everyone loves a little plastic and our Merry Everything Stamp Set with some Trim the Tree DSP Stack is the the thing to make a very impressive presentation!

The belly band is back and put to good use.  Who wouldn't be delighted to get their favorite gift card in a beautiful wrapper like this one?

A Seasonally Scattered Card

The perfect way to top off our November getting ready for December projects was a beautifully simple card made with the Seasonally Scattered stamp and some All is Calm Designer Series Paper and Lost Lagoon ribbon and ink.

Seasonally Sensational October Creations

Wisconsin is particularly famous for having only three seasons . . . Fall, Winter, and Summer.  Spring, it seems is non-existent in our part of the country, and our three projects for this month are in honor of that unarguable fact!

With a crisp and earthtone fall upon us, we made our own our Curvy Keepsake version of the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown

A Beautiful Bunch bloom helps us remember our short but very sweet Wisconsin summer,

    A N D

With winter just around the corner we anticipate it will look a little like our Woundrous Wreath on a Hardwood fence. (The only thing missing is the snow on the fencetops!)

We are hearty souls here in the Grand Old Badger State!

All papers, inks, and accessories used in our projects are from Stampin’ Up! ©

A Bunch of Beautiful

Impressive, sweet, and easy as can be.  The Beautiful Bunch stamps teamed up with whatever In-Color you like from the 2013-15 DSP Stack make our cards look like we worked at this all day. Actually though, a whole handful of gorgeous cards for all occasions can be made in short order!  Having some of these on hand could make our up-coming winter doldrums take a hike!

Beautiful Bunch Card

Which '13-15' In-Color™ is your favorite?  We picked ours and for this card it is Coastal Cabana.  Our stampers get a choice though, and it's easy to customize with the In-Color 2013-15 DSP Stack. The ink and layered card stock used for our Beautiful Bloom match, but mixing up some complimentary hues might work too. A simple little score from the top right to just about center of our 4" x 5 1/4" DSP, and a funky little fold reveals both sides of this pretty paper. Our Fun Flower Punch really is fun . . . and it makes short work of our floral creation!  A good old standby, the Bird Builder Punch helps out to make some Baked Brown Sugar leaves.  We used Dimensionals to make things pop, a base of Baked Brown Sugar Card Stock to set things off, and a Pearl to pretty things up.  Our message is from And Many More and there are, indeed, many more great greetings where that one came from.  Easy and impressive at the same time.  All papers, inks, and accessories used in this card are from Stampin’ Up! ©

A Wonderful Wreath on a Picket Fence

We are really wondering why we even hesitated to add the Wonderful Wreath Framelits and coordinating Wondrous Wreath Stampset to our collection.  Using three coordinated stamps to create a gorgeous holiday wreath, this one with a wintery face, couldn't be more fun and easy.  Much to our delight, our Chocolate Chip Hardwood fence is a really nice way to show it off.

Wreath on a Fence Card

It only took a little trimming on our paper trimmer to come up with a set of pickets and some cross pieces to build our fence.  The Hardwood Stamp stamped on Crumb Cake with Chocolate Chip has clearly defined boards which made the cutouts much easier than using a saw on a hunk of wood!  The first panel was cut off and slit in half to make the cross sections.  The Woundrous Wreath stamps have tabs to help line up the layers and they do double duty when it comes to the cutting out part too!  Thank goodness for the Big Shot and Magnetic Platform.  We absolutely love this wreath framelit with its accessories--like the little bow to decorate with.  Dimensionals give us a hand in hanging our handiwork on the fence.  Our Christmas greens are Pear Pizzazz and Mossy Meadow, our reds are Cherry Cobbler of course!  We thought about snow on the fencetops, but we don't want to give Mother Nature any ideas too soon!  All papers, inks, and accessories used in this card are from Stampin’ Up! ©

A Curvy For You Pumpkin

Three-dimensional is the hypenated word of the day!  We are absolutely loving our brand new Curvy Keepsake Box Framelits. Our Pumpkin Pie pumpkin box with an Autumn Wooden Element to top it off is giving us a big jack-o-lantern grin on our faces!

The Great Pumpkin Box

It wasn't hard to make a pretty piece of Pumpkin Pie Card Stock look like it was just picked up at the pumpkin farm with the help of some Pumpkin Pie Ink and our Work of Art Stamp Set.  The Curvy Keepsake Box Framelit cut out twice and glued together with Tombo Glue was easier to make than a pumpkin pie! The Bigz Autumn Accents Die was used to fashion the little Garden Green leafy interest.  Teamed up with a circle tag and tied up with some Linen Thread,  our message is from A Round Array punched with the 7/8" Scallop Punch, and the sweet little fall shape was chosen from the Autumn Wooden Elements.  Doesn't it look just 3-D Delicious?  All papers, inks, and accessories used in this card are from Stampin’ Up! ©

Fond Farewell to Summer!

What better way to bid our sweet Wisconsin summer goodbye than with a look at seasons to come!

This month we are wowing our stampers with a little Sunflower Gift card--a kind of Goodbye Summer, Hello Fall card.

If September goes by anywhere near as fast as our summer flitted away, then it is a sure thing that October is just around the corner!  So, we thought why not try a cool technique for a spooky looking sky on a nice Halloween greeting using a new and versatile stamp set from the 2014-15 Holiday Catalog!

Now, who can't get excited about Christmas. Never too early from our perspective!  Trees, trees, and more trees with Stamper Smiles all around on the Second Tuesday in September!  Another new set with a punch to match!  Can't help but love it.

All papers, inks, and most accessories used in our projects are from Stampin’ Up! ©

Sunny Daydreams

The sunshine of Summer fleeting into Fall is reflected in the sun flower's pretty face. Thank you Vincent Van Gogh for this perfect reminder.  We put that warm feeling into our Daffodil Delight colored gift card and we did a pretty good job of capturing the magic if we do say so ourselves!  There's a chill in the air in our town but we are warming up our Second Tuesday September night with this stamper's delight. We went back to some old friends from the Stampin' Up™ 2014-2015 Idea Book, teaming up the Daydream Medallions Stamp Set and Floral Frames Collection Framelits making easy work to create this interesting project.

Sunflowery Gift Card

Our stampers started this sunflower card by stamping a small medallion with Crushed Curry Ink and cutting it out with a Floral Frames Collection Framelit.  Two more large cut out florals and a little trick with the tiny Daydream Medallion on each petal got our project looking good.  A score at the top inside piece, and a little glue got the whole thing really going.  We embossed a piece of Chocolate Chip Card Stock and punched it out with our trusty 2 1/2" Circle Punch for layering, decorated it up with a message, kissed it with a pearl adorned Beautiful Wings Embosslit butterfly, and tacked a couple of Garden Green Autumn Accents Framelits leaves behind. It stands on its own in more ways than one!!!  What a nice way to decorate a package or just to give as a unique note for someone you love.  All papers, inks, and accessories used in this card are from Stampin’ Up! ©

A Fall Sky and Some Halloween Magic

Every once in awhile you need to get a little adventurous (and sometimes a little inky in the process.) It was a challenge and a whole lot of fun to ink our way to an eerie night sky, setting the tone for our delightful Holiday Home creation.  We can't take credit for this one though because we didn't see many ways to improve on the card posted by our Pinterest friend Melissa at RubberFUNatics! Check out more great ideas at her blog.

Inky Happy Halloween Home Card

As soon as we opened the new Stampin' Up Holiday Catalog™ we couldn't wait to try out the Holiday Home Stamp Set with the coordinating Homemade Holiday Framelits.  You can decorate for any occasion with this great polymer collection.  For the background on our Halloween version we used Pumpkin Pie, Hello Honey, Old Olive, and Rich Razzleberry re-inkers dripped sparingly on a basket style water spritzed coffee filter.  (You can be pretty generous with the water, but be sure to get it really dry before attaching it to the card.) Anyone can see that the result is more than pleasing to the eye.  With a little help from the On Film Framelits the background was showcased beautifully in Basic Black over an embossed Pumpkin Pie card stock card front set off with another layer of Basic Black pulling everything together.  We stamped our trees, stars, and bats in Jet Black Stazon Ink.  The message on Whisper White was cut out with Bitty Banners and tied up with some black hemp twine.  The little spider and his web and a Pumpkin Pie pumpkin are guarding the door of our comfy little Old Olive Card Stock house.  You can tell someone is home because the lights are on . . . compliments a little household bleach painted on the windows to make them glow.  Don't forget to get out the Dimensionals to show off the house and message.  They add that little extra pop!  All papers, inks, and accessories used in this card are from Stampin’ Up! ©

O Taunnenbaum O Tannenbaum

We are ready to spread some Christmas joy, and the tradition of the tree is one that makes us feel the wonder.  Stampers can never rush the season so here's an elegant yet simple card and some Irish Tenors to get you in the mood!

A Festival of Trees Card

Our new SU™ Holiday Catalog has us so excited we hardly know where to start . . . and what to add to our collection!!!  The Festival of Trees stamp set caught our eye right up front.  We couldn't have been more excited to see it bundled with the punch called Tree!  A perfect little forest is now within reach!  This card started with a base of Crumb Cake Card Stock layered with some Garden Green (a perfect Christmas green), and Chocolate Chip to set off the focal point--THE TREES!  We stamped two different tree images on Garden Green Card Stock with Garden Green Ink, colored the tree trunks with Chocolate Chip Marker, nested them in a snowy hill cut from a rectangle of Whisper White Card Stock, and lit up one with Cherry Cobbler Dazzling Details!  The subtle charm of some Under the Tree Specialty Designer Paper provides the backdrop for our lovely picture.  A Cherry Cobbler Inked Festival of Trees message compliments this simple, but elegant design. A beautifully simple and just plain beautiful preview of the season! We are giving credit for this idea to Michelle and Jeff at their Stamp Pray Love Blog. All papers, inks, and accessories used in this card are from Stampin’ Up! ©

An August Presence

Curiously, August is not only defined as the eighth month of the year.  It also has the distinction of being known as inspiration for dignity and grandeur.  (The things one can learn from Dictionary.com!)  So, of course, we felt compelled to expose our Second Tuesday Stampers to projects worthy of an adjective as impressive as August . . . and just have a look at these!

How could we live up to a month like this one?  Well, we stamped some Pleasant Poppies all decked out in Blendabilities, assembled a bag and a tag with a fringy tissue bloom, and heated up the place with a magnificent and shiny heat embossed Swallowtail. A little snip here and a little snip there topped off with some bling and we are on our way to magnificent.  Wow!  Just wow!  Most papers, inks, and accessories used in these projects are from Stampin’ Up! ™

Free Handing Pleasant Poppies

When will Frenchie run out of videos?  We hope never!  We found this really simple, but over the top, impressive technique and ran with it.  Our Pleasant Poppies were getting lonely sitting in the drawer, so we pulled them out and teamed them up with Blendabilities.  It just seemed right!

Hand Cut Bordered Poppies Card

We hopped from Pinterest over to Frenchie's You Tube Channel to get a quick tutorial on Free Hand Two Layer Borders along with many other versions of the same.  It was almost too easy to create this really lovely card. Whisper White with some Calypso Coral were teamed up on this card, but the Blendabilities colors provide all kinds of inspiration for a field of flowers. We colored only a couple, but if you're non-minimalist be our guest and color away. Some simple layering, a greeting from And Many More, and some Dimensionals to pop up our hand cut portion got us more than excited about this card and the possibilities using this technique. Our Rhinestones got dolled up with color from our Blendabilities and, to quote one of our favorite women in the business . . . "Voila!"

Metamorphosis

How does this funny little fellow munching fennel in my garden

   turn into this?

It goes something like this . . .

And in our stamping world it ends up like this!

Silvery Swallowtail Card

Another true joy of late summer is the gift of butterflies transformed from their little caterpillar selves.  How appropriate that at the same time we were busy creating the metamorphosis from a plain piece of Lost Lagoon Card Stock to a beautiful Swallowtail Card, my garden was playing host to two voracious black swallowtail caterpillers.  What inspiration!  Silver Embossing Powder, a Gorgeous Grunge background, and a liberal sponging of Lost Lagoon, Hello Honey, and Night of Navy Inks gave us this sweet design.  We were frustrated--much like the The Very Hungry Caterpiller--in our attempt to get this just right, but finally settled on a version of a hand cut card edge that opens on the top to showcase our marvelous creature.  All papers, inks, and accessories used in this card are from Stampin’ Up! ™

A Bag, A Tag, and a Posie

Good things come in small packages . . . and in little bags with a handmade flair!  Since August is the month when the "flowers of the sun," start showing themselves in earnest here in Wisconsin, and since we really wanted to share our love for our Fringe Scissors with our fabulous stampers, we topped off our gift bag's tag with a pretty tissue pom pom flower that reminds us of the summer mums showing up all over town.

Fringy Flowered Bag and Tag

We like Night of Navy with the bright yellow-green posie, but our stampers get to choose from some other pretty colored tissue paper to get just the affect they are looking for.  A Decorative Mask and a dash of ink applied with Sponge Daubers was all we needed to gussy up our White Mini Bag and the Scalloped Tag Topper Punch made it easy to spruce up our fun little Chalk Talk tag.  The ribbon is White Organza colored with Blendabilites.  We stapled the bag shut and our lovely little tag to it.  Adorned with some humble binder twine and pretty pearls, our creation is a little on the grunge side, but oh so impressive.  Most papers, inks, and accessories used in this card are from Stampin’ Up! ™

July Flew By

We are back online (thank you Geek Squad guys!)  Here is a peak at our July projects.

Wisconsin summers always encourage the nature lovers in our corner of the world.  Our projects embrace that sentiment!  Check out how we handled our excitement about Blendabilities with a beautiful floral from Bloom With Hope; notice how our telescoping card sports a Flower Patch all in Wisteria Wonder; feel the Work of Art in the lake breeze at Wetlands.  We had so much fun creating these summery cards and are looking forward to a really hot August.

Making A Splash

We are starting our stamp year off with just that . . . a splash!  This fancy fold card might look a little fishy, but with colors like Lost Lagoon and Hello Honey, and stamps that take us on a cruise into the ocean, we just can't help getting in a summery mood!

By The Tide in Lost Lagoon Card

We are putting our punches and framelits to work to make our punched out version of a tucked in card!  The 4 1/4 x 11" Lost Lagoon Card Stock piece is scored at 4 1/4" and 8 1/2" then folded over itself.  One punch at the center of the top fold with our 2 1/2" Circle Punch provides some real interest when we punch out some circles and add them to the mix.  A couple of dimensionals help us make the magic happen.  There is a message inside but you may want to spend most of your time smiling at the sea coral and our cutout fishy friend from the By The Tide stamp set.  The new, and soon to be favorite, Moonlight DSP Stack gives us lots of coordinating looks to go along with our bubbly creations.  Who would have thought Basic Gray could be so beautiful?  Our Decorative Dots Embossing Folder is just the ticket to make us want to get out our snorkels and flippers!  For some other versions of this "half cut die card" have a peak at Debbie's Designs Blog.  All papers, inks, and accessories used in this card are from Stampin’ Up!

Work of Art Splash

Google "Art Splash" and guess what you get.  Something that looks a lot like our fun creation that makes an artist out of all of us!  With the new Work of Art Stamp Set from Stampin' Up! and the entire 2013-15 In Color Collection our Second Tuesday Stampers can go just plain crazy!

Work of Art In Color Easel Card

Our basic design idea came from our new friend Michelle Humphrey at Stamping With Shelle.  (You meet the nicest people on Pinterest.)  With such a beautiful piece of art work, we thought we needed to pick an easel style card to display it.  This simple card fold will make our creation ready for the gallery! To top things off we couldn't resist the brayered embossing folder technique that would give our easel a background to properly enhance the finished product.  We chose to use our 1 1/2" Scallop Circle Punch with a 1" Circle Punch center to make our card stand up (and out), but any number of enhancements from buttons to bows are possible to top things off.  All papers, inks, and accessories used in this card are from Stampin’ Up!

Splashy!

No cool clear water on the cover of this beauty--but it still makes an amazing splash!  The brand new Stampin' Up! 2014-16 In Color Collection™ puts us in a summer vacation kind of mood.  Our color pick to make the Flower Shop and Flowering Flourishes stamps look gorgeous are Mossy Meadow and Blackberry Bliss.

Flowering Blackberry Bliss Card

The dramatic pairing of Whisper White Card Stock and Blackberry Bliss Card Stock and Ink shown off with Mossy Meadow flourishes and a relaxing color card base pulls everything together in this creation.  And who wouldn't be in love with the new Stitched Satin Ribbon?  There is no doubt you'll be seeing more of this in the future!  On a card like this the sky is the limit.  Our special touches include Papillon Potpourri, a little bit of Something to Say, and a Basic Pearl.  We started with a really good idea from Add Ink and Stamp and ran with it.  Thanks to Lisa Young and Pinterest for getting us started.  All papers, inks, and accessories used in this card are from Stampin’ Up!

May!!! May!!! What More Can We Say?

This month is the last of our Stamping Year for the Second Tuesday Stampers, and our excitement about some new members joining our group has us pumped.  Things are starting to green up in our neck of the woods and we are all feeling pretty good.  Of course, our creations this month are also a source of excitement to say the least!  We are sure you can see why.

We made an interesting Picture Perfect collage with On Film Framelits and our Peachy Keen Stampset--and that was just for starters!  Quatrefancy "Quatrefoil" Designer Series Paper and a mitt full of punches gave us a lot of help in the design of our Perfect Plum floral card, and a tiny box topped off with a pretty bloom cut with the Spiral Flower Die finished the lovely May ensemble of projects.  We will miss our old friends, but we will work hard to impress our new ones.  Our new catalogs have arrived so bring on the challenge of even better ideas and creative design. We love it!

All papers, inks, and accessories used in our creations  are from Stampin’ Up!

Picture Perfect

This fancy little collage style card is designed to really show off our Stampers' favorite person, place, or thing!  What fun--and we are certain that our scrapbooking friends will love this too!  On Film Framelits are just the thing to frame up our memories or send someone a perfect smile.

Picture Perfect Card

There are times when only gold will do and in this case, the Gold Foil Sheet does the trick in setting off our 3" x 3" photo.  The camera, gold frame, and the larger So Saffron frame as well as the arrow cutouts are all part of the On Film Framelit Collection.  This versatile set coordinates nicely with the Filmstrip Stamp used as a background in Wild Wasabi.  The Wasabi plays nicely with Pacific Point and a message from the Make Note Rotary Stamp just seems to say it all!

All papers, inks, and accessories used in this card are from Stampin’ Up!

A Teeny Box for Filling

A pretty bloom in Coastal Cabana crafted with the Spiral Flower Die gives new meaning to "Box Tops"!  A little bit of ribbon around our tiny little box and a Teeny Tiny Wish makes us want to remind everyone that good things come in small packages.

Spiral Flower Adorned Mini Box

We picked a piece of Fresh Prints Designer Paper from the stack.  No extra trimming needed.  A delightful Sam Donald Video at Pootles.co.uk gives excellent instruction and complete dimensions on the box.  The Spiral Die is fun once you get the hang of it, and our friends at Pinterest have plenty of ideas for how to use it.  We distressed our flower a little bit to make it look a tiny bit shabby and then dressed it up with some leaves and a bow.  There is a Large Pearl tucked right in the center of the flower for good measure. We heard that a Cadbury Egg fits perfectly inside the box which is a perfect compliment to this 3D Darling!

All papers, inks, and accessories used in this card are from Stampin’ Up!

Fancy Quatrefancy and a Bountiful Bloom

Using the Quatrefoil Specialty Designer Sheet, some lovely Delicate Details Lace Tape, and a plethora of punches (of the floral persuasion) we created an impressive card without too much fuss. Perfect Plum Card Stock makes us "Plum Happy" to show off our bloom!

Plum Happy and Quatrefancy Card

Our Perfect Plum card is framed in Whisper White Card Stock and features a flower created with the Mixed Bunch, Flower Shop, and Petite Petals Stamp Sets, and punched out with the Blossom, Pansy, and Petite Petals Punches.  We fancied it up with a Basic Pearl and set it gently on top of some Delicate Details Lace Tape which is adorning the top of our Quatrefoil Designer Specialty Paper.  We needed a little hint to help us figure out how to adhere the paper, and after some research figured out that Glue Dots along the top of the piece work just fine.  The message is stamped in White Craft Ink on Perfect Plum and punched out with the Large Oval Punch.  Thank you very much for the idea Kay Kalthoff at  www.stampingtoshare.com.

Spring Sensations

Spring!!!!  In Wisconsin we take it as it comes because it might be gone tomorrow . . . so our creations this month are designed to make us hopeful about the prospect of blossoms, Spring breezes, and sunshine

A little Shabby Chic Dahlia, a Hardwood Fence, and a Springy Birthday Celebration is all it takes to get us in the mood!  Some warm weather this weekend and the smell of Spring in the air doesn't hurt!

All papers, inks, and accessories used in our creations  are from Stampin’ Up!

Doilies and Dahlias

Who can resist some Shabby Chic with a real Victorian touch? We played a little bit with some Gingham Garden Designer Paper and the beautiful Regarding Dahlias Stamp Set.  A doily sponged with Island Indigo and some banner action make us feel like we can almost smell the flowers.

Shabby Chic Doily Dahlia Card

We made good use of layers by merging a couple of different designs from our designer paper and even adding a touch of Gingham Garden Washi Tape to create an interesting banner cut out with a Banners Framelit Die.  The Regarding Dahlias message fits perfectly inside the Bitty Banner Die and we couldn't resist some Linen Thread and a Very Vintage Designer Button to add a nice Victorian touch.  Everything comes together in this card with a base of Island Indigo and our Naturals Ivory Card Stock plays very nicely with our Shabby, Victorian, and Vintage mashup!  Lots of pleasant things going on in this one!  We thank our friend Amy O'Neill at Amy's Paper Crafts for the idea that started this whole creation!  All papers, inks, and accessories used in this card are from Stampin’ Up!

Spring Birthday Cake

A Spring Birthday is the best birthday!  Our stampers will get to create an entire card in an envelope---literally!  What a great idea.  This one has the versatile Birthday Cake Stamp inside just waiting for a special message from the gifter!

Belly Band Birthday Card

Belly Band . . . what a funny name for such a fabulous and functional technique.  Ours is crafted from Quatrefancy Designer Series Paper with the Petite Pairs greeting stacked on some Strawberry Slush and a little more Quatrefancy.  We open it up to see the Birthday Cake colored, "huffed" on, and stamped inside. We love this little envelope and card in one.  We put our newest favorite "go to" tool, the Envelope Punch Board to work to easily make this one happen.  Where are the flowers you might ask . . . they are in the Daffodil Delight strewn liberally throughout the designer paper and in the flame of the candles on our cake, of course!  All papers, inks, and accessories used in this card are from Stampin’ Up!
